The Last Day of Freedom…

Well, today is my last relaxing day at home before I head back into the office. They’re not expecting me until tomorrow, but since the surgery and recovery went so well I was actually thinking of going in today, a day early.

I even got up and dressed, but then… I just didn’t feel like going in today.

With my industry and my paranoia, it’s hard to get away from the office even for HR-sanctioned vacation days. I still haven’t used a single one yet this year.

Because of the surgery I’ve got this time off covered by a doctor’s note, so no vacation days are being used. I figure I might as well enjoy it, right?

I’m a little bored and have been reading a lot and playing Utopia, haha and now I’ve gotten into the lazy rut and just don’t feel like getting up and doing anything at all! Go figure.
Oh well, I suppose it’s for the best. I was really stressed for the weeks leading up to the surgery, and now I feel like I am finally getting a chance to recover.

It’s also good that I’m not going out to do anything… lately I have been spending like there’s no tomorrow. Yikes.

I am so disappointed in myself. I have a huge amount on my credit card yet again, and somehow managed to get dinged with interest for last month? Wha?? I have no idea where it came from but I’m pissed that I’ve lost control of my money again. Always a battle!

Gee, it looks like I can shift my worrying from my eyes to my pocketbook now!

*sigh*

  1. Take those vacation days. A study was done on North Americans and some people don’t even take their vacations, it’s ours for the taking! I’m doing 2 weeks off in July to chill the hell out just cause I can. I recommend you do something similar and let your brain wind down. This industry will have you going grey by the time your 30, take all the time off you can. 😉

P.S. Do you have a line of credit? If not, take one out and pay off the credit card. The interest on a line of credit is way less than VISA. And then chop the card in half! HyAh!

  2. This gal will never have a line of credit!

Normally I keep things under control, but this month there were a lot of unexpected expenses, so I slipped a little in the Iron Fist department. Oopsie.

It will be sorted out shortly, I just have to be more diligent in what I spend on. And also remember to pay off the stupid card.
