Don’t leave me alone…

I’m home alone, cold and tired on a Friday night.

This is not a good combination and I’ll tell you why.

I just caught myself singing a song about the hamsteak I was about to eat for dinner.

It went something like: “Hamsteak! The food of the future! Yeahhhhhh The kids are gonna love it, yeah yeah yeah!”

Seriously. It just went on. I think I have some kind latent talent.

…Does anyone besides me know what a hamsteak is, or actually eats them? I feel as though it’s a bizarre food that no one has heard of. What a weird name…hamsteak.

Should I have kept this for a Tuesday Secret? It seems a little odd indeed. Maybe I shouldn’t have shared this..?

  1. uh… what the hell is a hamsteak?! ha ha. i seriously have no idea. is it a big piece of ham? or is it spam? the future part makes me think of spam. in which case, i AM worried for you. mind you, i’ve never tried spam, so maybe i shouldn’t knock it.

oh geez now i’m gonna have to google it to find out. thanks. 😉

  2. ha ha!
ohhh yeah, thats pretty much what i found out. i’ve never seen one of those in BC, but i guess we must have them. was there an ad that sang that song about it being the food of the future? why on earth IS it the food of the future? because its sliced? its especially weird because its called olde fashioned. hmmmm so many questions…
don’t worry, i’m home alone on a friday night and i find myself wondering about a strangers’ hamsteak (HA! that sounds dirty) so it could be worse. plus i have to work tomorrow. ugh.

  3. Haha you crack me UP!

I’ve never seen an ad for it… I was just stringing random words together to make some noise in my apartment and it sort of morphed into a weird song. I have no idea why I decided to say it was the food of the future!

That’s partly why I shouldn’t be left alone! LOL

  4. ha! too funny. i assumed it was some obscure ontario thing i had missed not being from there, like milk in bags. that still bewilders me. we haven’t had milk in bags since i was 5. it freaks me out every time i’m out there. seriously, why do you have milk in BAGS? what other beverage do you get in a bag?

well at least we’re entertaining each other!
